Looking the day through the lens of love…this was unfolded beautifully on the topic Photography and Film Making which was handled by Sr. Nisha Joseph, SSpS and Sr. Gini George, SSpS.
The group was given practical session on the Introduction to Photography using the digital single-lens reflex camera (also called digital SLR or DSLR). She worked through with us into the practical ways of handling the camera, explaining its mechanisms and the different kinds of shots. We had the first-hand experience taking turns in orienting ourselves with the features of DSLR and striving to master in handling and taking a picture.
The afternoon session was on film making specifically on documentary. She stressed the importance of conceptual considerations of having to write a good script that transcends time and space, bringing life for the audience who may never have seen before. She demonstrated this point through a video presentation.
Sr. Gini shared her expertise on basic video camera techniques (cinematography) and stressed that using varying camera movements is essential for improving the quality of the output either filming music videos and making a documentary.
The day concluded with the sharing of inspiring words of insights, learnings, realizations and feelings of the day’s experience.
